Are you new to Trials?

It's free to come along and spectate so turn up to one of our events and watch.  Feel free to email us if you want to find out more or for some friendly advice.  Trials is a very low key sport, it's easy to get involved.

We are always in need of people to help out on the day to observe and you don't need any qualification to do this, just let us know you'd like to try it and we'll show you the ropes and give you your first section.  The event insurance policy means you will be fully covered whilst doing this.

If you find you like it and would like a go, it can be inexpensive to get started, example prices for the essential equipment are as follows...

£1,500   Good second hand bike
£200      New Trials Boots
£150      New Trials open face helmet
£25        One pair trials gloves

Most riders also wear trials or motocross leggings along with a matching top but these are not essential, you just need long trousers and a long sleeved top like a rugby shirt.

When you get your bike it's a good idea to get some practise on private land, you might need to make friends with a local farmer or ask your local club when they are holding a practise day.

Before you enter your first event you need to register for trials with the Autocycle Union (ACU), they will send you a card and a membership number.  Take your card to every event and show it when you sign on.

I'm sure you'll get lots of friendly advice but feel free to email us with any questions or to find out when we're next having a club night where you can come along and chat over a drink.
